Alcon, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of contact lenses and lens care products, has announced the launch of a marketing portal for eye care practitioners.
According to the head of the company’s U.S. contact lens marketing division, Jonathan Balch, Alcon concentrates on developing partnerships with patients, practitioners and students as well as organisations sharing its passion for eye care. To help to achieve this goal, the contact lens manufacturer has launched a new portal for practitioners, providing them with resources and knowledge that can be really useful in their daily work. What is more, the new portal will allow professionals to improve their online presence.
Apart from announcing the portal, Balch also shared the results of Alcon’s programme to increase the accessibility and affordability of daily disposable contact lenses, which turned out to be quite successful with about 15,000 visits to the company’s website per day and over 150,000 downloads of contact lens rebates to date (whose redemption rate keeps rising).
