Continuous Wear Contact Lenses
Continuous wear contact lenses are designed to be worn for extended periods of time without the necessity of taking them out in order to sleep. They are usually made of highly oxygen permeable silicone hydrogel which provides high breathability and comfort. The length of time in which you can continuously wear a pair of lenses depends on your eyes tolerance and the lenses oxygen permeability. The most popular type of continuous wear contact lenses are indicated for 7 days use, however there are also extra breathable 30 days continuous use lenses available.
They are a very convenient solution for people who work long shifts or would like to forget that they are wearing contacts. They consist of less water than traditional contact lenses, which makes them less prone to dehydration keeping your eyes fresh feeling and comfortable.
