Menicon and Eye Shelter have announced that Menicon will become Eye Shelter's exclusive partner to distribute SOLO-care® contact lens solutions in the EU and Canada.
The agreement is beneficial for Menicon, which will enjoy stronger geographical presence in Europe, especially in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe, and reach many more contact lens wearers to offer them its wide range of products.
According to Toshio Matsushima, the President of Menicon Holdings BV, the partnership is a great step in the company’s growth strategy, giving them many new opportunities. Synergies coming from Menicon’s extended product portfolio will result in higher sales of different kinds of contact lenses (including silicone hydrogel and custom-lathed rigid gas permeable lenses) manufactured by the company, Matsushima added.
Eye Shelter decided to conclude the agreement with Menicon due to its wide, complementary range of products, huge experience and focus on health and safety.
Menicon will start the distribution of SOLO-care® products by the end of March 2012.
