The competition on the market of contact lenses-related products is fierce. And it seems that it will soon become even more so, as Polaroid has presented a brand new, innovative lens case, advertised as the first pre-filled disposable contact lens case in the world.
The name of the new product is Contactspod, and it has been developed especially for those who travel a lot. It is hermetically sealed and contains a sterile contact lens solution for keeping contacts when a person goes on holiday or on a business trip.
According to the manufacturer, thanks to the Contactspod, contact lens users can have access to a ready-to-use, sterile lens case wherever they go. This is of utmost important because improper storage of contact lenses often leads to dangerous infections, not to mention eye irritation and reduced comfort.
Polaroid’s Chief Executive Officer stated that the Contactspod is an answer to the expectations of contact lens wearers and will be especially useful to those who travel by plane.
