Bausch + Lomb, one of the largest producers of contact lenses and related products, has announced that Sheila Hopkins has become the company’s Global President for Vision Care. In addition, two of B+L’s senior managers, Peter Valenti III and Steven Robins, have been given new roles within the company (Hopkins will supervise the company’s activities related to contact lenses and lens care products like Biotrue®, PureVision® and Renu®).
The Chief Executive Officer of Bausch + Lomb, Brent L. Saunders, stated that Sheila Hopkins is a world-class marketer and has great experience associated with global brands. He added that the company is in the middle of a transformation and Hopkins will help maximise the potential of its existing products and introduce the breakthrough innovations of the new ones.
Hopkins was involved in creating such global brands as Colgate and Oil of Olay and now will work at Bausch + Lomb’s Vision Care headquarters in Rochester, New York. She stated she is really excited to join the company at such an important moment.
