CooperVision Inc., a manufacturer of contact lenses (e.g. the Avaira brand) and related products, has just announced changes to its executive leadership team. As a result of the changes, Dennis Murphy (who is now the company’s president for Americas) will become executive vice president for global sales and marketing as of 1st November 2011. In addition, Andrew Sedgwick (now the president for Europe, Middle East and Africa) will be promoted to president for Americas.
The aim of the changes is to improve the company’s ability to expand globally and concentrate on panregional market opportunities. During the next few months, Dennis Murphy will work with CooperVision’s management for the Asia Pacific region in order to increase the company’s market presence in the region.
John Weber, the president of CooperVision stated that, as the company is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of eye care practitioners, it keeps looking for ways of improving their business and building for continued success. The team, Webber added, have been very successful in meeting customers’ needs and will help CooperVision to grow globally further.
