On 7th August, VISTAKON®, a Division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., that manufacturers ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses revealed the winners of the ACUVUE® 1-DAY Contest at the Teen Choice 2011 awards ceremony.
As part of the contest, five teenagers were paired with five celebrity mentors and took part in private sessions whose aim was to help them achieve their dreams. Later, the teenagers were invited to join their mentors (Joe Jonas, Meaghan Martin, Charice, Allyson Felix and Sterling Knight) at Teen Choice 2011.
In addition, ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses cooperated with Teen Choice 2011 to award actress Demi Lovato for her work with the Love is Louder movement started by the Jed Foundation. Love is Louder was created to spread the message that love and support are stronger than voices causing people pain and making them lose hope. Demi Lovato was awarded for inspiring teenagers to work hard to achieve their goals.
The contest was announced in May 2011 and its winners had a chance to share their experiences in videos that the company made available on YouTube.
