Bob Herbert ‘Blind as a Bat’ without Contact Lenses

A famous American journalist, Bob Herbert, has confessed to his dependence on contact lenses. In an interview given to Politico, Herbert discussed several personal matters, including the things that irritate him the most and the things he could not live without.

In his opinion, all products associated with vision correction are of utmost importance. He added that would not be able to live without his contact lenses, as they had almost become part of his body and he was as blind as a bat without them.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Herbert became a journalist after coming back from Korea, where he had been sent as a soldier. His career started at The Star-Ledger in New Jersey; then he was a reporter and editor at the New York Daily News for almost ten years, which allowed him to start working for television (WCBS-TV at first and then NBC) and write for New York Times, which he left in March 2011.
