Woman Born without Arms Inserts Contact Lenses with Her FeetSome individuals are reluctant to switch from glasses to contact lenses because they feel they would have difficulty inserting them in their eyes. However, the example of Jessica Cox, who – in spite of being born without arms – managed to master the skill using only her feet should inspire them to try.

The 27-year-old’s spirit allowed her to achieve many things that most healthy individuals fail to do. First, at the age of 14 she got a black belt from the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation, which boosted her self-confidence enough to seek new challenges.

Consequently, when she was 25, she learned to fly a plane and became the first person without arms in the history of aviation to obtain a pilot’s licence.

In a recent interview, Cox stated that life had taught her that she could do almost anything using just her feet, that they could be almost as useful as hands and allow her to do such difficult things as inserting contact lenses in her eyes.
