Recent surveys carried out in cooperation with contact lenses manufacturers have revealed certain problems that many people with vision correction face. One study, for instance, focused on glare and halos experienced by contact lens and glasses wearers with the conclusion that this bothersome issue concerned around a half of them.
Referring to this and similar problems, Dr Carla Mack, who works for Bausch + Lomb as Director of Global Medical Affairs, stated that the producers of contact lenses keep working on new, improved designs in order to offer their customers products that will satisfy all their needs related to vision correction.
Regarding the issue of halos and glare, Dr Mack said that eye care practitioners can work with their patients and there is a great chance that they will find a solution. In addition, according to Dr Mack, aspheric contact lenses may be a great option for those who want to avoid glare or halos.
