Tightened airport security (because of the threat of terrorist attacks) often means great problems for contact lenses wearers who may not be allowed to bring their lens care solutions onboard a plane. To help them overcome this inconvenience, Bausch + Lomb (a manufacturer of contact lenses and related products) decided to launch its new flight packs in the UK.
The Biotrue flight packs were designed in a way that allows their users to take them through customs inspection and then have them in hand luggage. They include two 60 ml bottles of a contact lens solution (Biotrue) and two contact lens cases. In addition, the buyer receives a clear plastic zip bag, in which he or she can put their solution and lenses when dealing with a customs inspection as well as a set of instructions concerning using and maintaining the products.
Bausch + Lomb states that Biotrue contact lens solutions have remarkable disinfectant properties and are especially good for individuals likely to suffer from dry eyes, which often happens to those who travel by plane.
