All contact lenses users could benefit from watching a new video concerning astigmatism prepared by SynergEyes, Inc., and added to the Eyemaginations practitioner video libraries, 3-D Eye Office and LUMA. It includes information about the company’s second generation silicone hydrogel hybrid contact lens, called Duette.
The new video explains all the issues associated with astigmatism (a vision problem consisting in the inability of the eye’s optics to produce a sharp image on the retina due to an irregular or toric shape of the cornea or lens). It also provides information regarding the benefits of using Duette hybrid contact lenses in comparison with other types of contact lenses.
Eye care practitioners using the Eyemagination 3-D Eye Office software can easily find the video in their media library, while the users of LUMA will gain access to it in a similar way after the next software update, which is scheduled for June 2011.
Duette contact lenses are offered in a variety of powers and base curves, so the vast majority of patients can wear them without any difficulties.
