Keratoconus is an eye disease that is very difficult to treat and that seriously affects the vision of people who suffer from it. Moreover, keratoconus patients cannot wear conventional contact lenses, because the shape of their corneas is different; they usually wear special rigid lenses.
Lately, a new option has been offered to them by SynergEyes in the form of a line of hybrid contact lenses called ClearKone. The lenses effectively deal with the blurred and distorted vision that keratoconus patients experience.
This Christmas the manufacturer gave free samples to people suffering from the disease. The patients who benefitted from the promotional campaign included nursing student Cassidy Randle, whose future career, due to her eye condition, had looked doubtful before she was fitted with ClearKone lenses. She described the difference in her vision that occurred when she started wearing the lenses ‘life changing’.
SynergEyes claims that ClearKone lenses provide superior visual acuity, stability and comfort to most keratoconus patients. The company manufactures different versions of the lenses to meet the needs of people suffering from all stages of the condition.
