Though still much less popular than soft contact lenses, hybrid contact lenses, thanks to their unique characteristics, are worn by more and more people. Recently, it has been suggested that motorbike riders may greatly benefit from using them instead of soft or rigid contact lenses.
Dirt Bike magazine published an article written by a motorbike enthusiast stating that both soft and rigid contact lenses have serious disadvantages when they are used while riding a motorbike. Soft contact lenses often come out whereas rigid contacts could be quite uncomfortable.
In contrast, hybrid contact lenses frequently provide their users with the desired comfort, at the same time offering excellent vision and reliability in a variety of situations. The author of the article was prescribed a set of such lenses and was extremely satisfied with them. He wrote that he had perfect vision regardless of conditions and he had had no performance problems in the entire year he had been using them.
