Online shops have been increasing their turnovers very fast since the Internet became easily available to the average consumer. Thanks to the fact that they do not have to employ as many people as traditional shops, their prices are usually very competitive. In addition, because they have no problems with storage space, they may offer a wider range of goods.
However, contact lenses users still seem to be quite conservative when it comes to buying them, this way losing an opportunity to save substantial amounts of money.
According to a recent article in the Mirror, high street opticians offer their goods at much higher prices than online shops. The difference may even reach £100 for a set of lenses. Moreover, online shops quickly deliver even uncommon contact lenses, which is often a major problem for traditional opticians.
The Mirror article points out that products such as Acuvue Moist or Air Optix Aqua are much cheaper when bought online, and that contact lens wearers should seriously consider this option.
