SynergEyes, Inc., the producer of ClearKone®, a hybrid contact lenses designed to treat keratoconus, has just launched a website with information about the disease and methods of coping with it.
Keratoconus is a progressive eye condition that causes the cornea to grow thin and become cone-shaped (hence the name). As a result, people who suffer from it experience increasingly strong visual disturbances, sometimes leading to blindness.
The website provides patients and their families with all the essential information regarding keratoconus, which includes currently available treatment options. There is a blog section, created by doctors specialising in the disease. There is also a section which allows everybody who is interested to ask questions, which are then answered by a panel of renowned specialists and published on the website.
The present and prospective users of ClearKone® contact lenses may find a considerable amount of data concerning the lenses, such as what materials it is produced of, where a patient can find a doctor who specialises in fitting them or how to clean them.
