Chris Bentley, a rugby player for Exeter Chiefs, has thanked his optician, Surhid Chatterjee, for supplying him with cutting-edge contact lenses throughout his career at the club. Bentley acknowledged how the lenses helped him improve his performance over the years and remain one of the most important members of his team.
As a token of his appreciation, the player gave Surhid Chatterjee a Championship-winning jersey. The jersey was signed by the entire team, which meant a great deal to the optician, who did not hide his surprise and delight. Chatterjee has been supporting Exeter Chiefs for years; what is more, his son played for Exeter's youth section.
Bentley, born in Sunderland in May 1979, joined Exeter Chiefs six years ago and has been a valued member of the team ever since. He made his debut on 04 September 2004, playing against London Welsh. His international record includes matches played for England U21.
